Fostering & Volunteering
We are always in need of foster homes for our birds, as well as adoptive homes. Because we do not operate a shelter facility, we rely on our dedicated foster parents to care for the birds until they can find forever homes. Even if you can't foster a bird yourself, you may be able to assist a foster parent with cleaning cages and other bird care necessities. We also have opportunities for volunteers to help at community events and bird care classes.
If you think you might be interested in fostering a bird or volunteering in some other way, please fill out one of our applications. You can then mail it to us at the address below, or send it by e-mail. Because not all computers will open all types of programs, we have the two applications in three different formats:
Foster/Volunteer Application ~ For those interested in possibly foster and/or volunteering: Microsoft Word You should be able to open it in any Word version and fill it out on your computer. Place your cursor at the beginning of a line and start typing. Use the Tab key to go from line to line. The check boxes can be marked by clicking with your cursor. To uncheck a box, simply click it again. PDF This will open using the free Adobe Reader program. You can print it out and complete by hand, then mail it to us; or you scan it and e-mail it to us.
